Sova Lineup Guide for All Maps Shock Darts Guide

Mastering specific Sova lineups and combining them with your ultimate will allow you to win rounds on your own in competitive! Sova is an initiator who has lots of utility that can be used for vision with drone and recon dart. He also has shock darts, which is what this guide will cover. Using Sova lineups for default plant positions on each map allows you to damage or kill enemy spike defusers.

Using Default Plant Shock Darts:

There are a few things to keep in mind when using shock darts for a planted spike. The main thing you’ll need to familiarize yourself with is the timing of when to shoot it. The timing for each lineup will vary depending on the site and map. Make sure to stall as long into the round as possible, and proceed to wait for an enemy player to tap the spike. Once you hear the spike being defused, you should shoot your shock darts.

Sova Shock Darts for Bind:

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Lobby:

This first shock dart is for the default plant position on A-Site and can be shot from A-Lobby. Make sure you help your team successfully get the spike down first before waiting in A-Lobby, as your team might die and lose the spike. Once the spike is down, you can play back toward A-Main until you are ready to use your shock darts. As mentioned in the video, this shock dart in specific will land quite quickly, meaning you don’t have to shoot it super early.

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on B-Site from B-Long:

This Sova lineup can be used to shock dart enemy spike defusers on the default plant position on B-Site. This arrow is shot from the corner in B-Long next to the teleporter as seen in the video above. Be careful that you are being pushed by enemies when pulling out your shock dart, as this will make you quite vulnerable.

Sova Shock Darts for Split:

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Ramp:

This Sova lineup can be used to shock dart the default plant spot on A-Site for Split from A-Ramp. When looking to use this shock dart, be careful not to get flanked from A-Main or pushed from A-Heaven, as these are somewhat common spots for enemies to come from. Also remember to let your teammates know that you have shock darts that you can use from this location, as this will allow them to better support you.

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on B-Site from B-Main:

This shock dart lineup can be shot from B-Main and is very good for stopping or killing the enemy spike defuser when necessary. You can be flanked from B-Main when lining this arrow up, although enemies won’t often come from that direction. Because of this reason, having at least one other teammate with you inside of B-Main is a good idea to help protect you.

Sova Shock Darts for Haven:

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Long:

This Sova lineup can be fired from A-Long behind the box as seen in the video above. It will land in the default plant position, covering almost the whole front side of A-Site. Waiting to use this shock dart for later in the round after the spike has been planted is ideal. Also remember to be cautious of an enemy flanker than could come from A-Lobby, as this will very likely end in your death.

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on C-Site from C-Cubby:

Playing from C-Cubby/C-Long on Haven is a very common strategy for many buy rounds when attacking. The Sova lineup is shot from the back corner in C-Long, as seen in the video above. This is also a perfect position to use your Hunter’s Fury from, as long as you are cautious of your flank. It’s also good to have another teammate play C-Cubby or C-Long with you as well to help stall for a bit of extra time.

Sova Shock Darts for Ascent:

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Main:

This Sova lineup is for the default plant spot on A-Site in front of the generator, and can be used later in a round after your team has planted the spike. For the shock dart lineup itself, walk into the corner as seen in the video above and place your crosshair within the curve of the cloud. Keep in mind if there are many enemies alive, one of them might push A-Main to help support the spike defuser.

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on B-Site from B-Main:

This Sova lineup can be fired from B-Main, with two bounces and two charges. As mentioned in the video above, until enemies make it onto site, watch B-Main flank and use your recon dart/drone to help find enemies in CT-Spawn or Market. Once enemies are on site, your shock darts with this lineup will do a very good job as stalling quite a few seconds. Also remember that you can use your ultimate quite safely from B-Main if necessary.

Sova Shock Darts for Icebox:

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Belt:

Once your team gets the spike down in the default plant position on A-Site, you can fall back and play from A-Belt until later in the round. This Sova lineup is very strong for catching enemies off-guard, as many Sova players won’t use this specific lineup. Remember that it’s important to let your team know that you have shock dart lineups, as it will allow them to play more safely rather than unnecessarily defending the spike.

Sova Lineup for Default Plant on B-Site from B-Main:

Once getting the spike down in the default plant position on B-Site, it’s very common for your team to run back toward B-Yellow and B-Main. This gives you the perfect opportunity to use the shock dart as shown in the video above. Make sure, as always, to have someone watch your flank if possible, as you will be slightly vulnerable to an enemy flanker.
