Haven is a great map for Sova’s recon darts, allowing you to clear entire sites and areas for your team. Getting vision onto enemies that are in corners or on the back of a site will often be able to open up a pick for your team. Letting your team know when you’re going to shoot your recon dart is important since they have a chance to find kills on the enemies you spot. Many of the recon darts shown will also have a good chance to catch your opponents off-guard, almost always ensuring some free vision for your team.
Recon Dart for A-Site from A-Garden (No Bounce and Three Charges):
A-Site has a multitude of places for players to hide and play from. This arrow will reveal almost all of them except for a couple of areas. To begin, walk into the corner as seen in the image above.
Look up and attempt to find the gap in the tree as seen in the red rectangle above. Place your crosshair in the gap and slightly to the right to properly line this arrow up. Release the recon dart with no bounces and three charges.
The entire front side of A-Site will be covered, as well as the sides of site by this arrow. The only place you need to check when pushing after this arrow is the back of site and near A-Short.
Recon Dart for A-Site from A-Lobby (One Bounce and Three Charges):
This arrow for A-Site is very good, as it reveals the entirety of site and will likely be unknown to the enemy team. To begin, stand in the corner at the entrance to A-Lobby and face toward B-Site.
Look up and place your crosshair on the right side of the metal bar sticking through the hole in the roof. Release the recon dart with one bounce and three charges.
This arrow will land surprisingly high, likely revealing your opponents once or twice before they have a chance to shoot it. If you use this dart multiple rounds in a row, the enemy A player(s) will likely begin shooting it quicker.
Recon Dart for B-Site from A-Garden (One Bounce and No Charge):
B-Site is often only played by one enemy player, allowing your recon dart to eliminate areas they could be hiding. This arrow will only cover the front of the site, but it still very good for allowing your team to create a presence on B-Site. To begin, step into the corner with the pot on it as seen in the image above. Turn and face where B-Site is located.
Look up and place your crosshair in the middle of the first two lines at the top of the temple. Release the recon dart with one bounce and no charges, and it will land in the front of B-Site.
This arrow will successfully cover the front side of B-Site where Sage players often play at the beginning of the round. If the enemy team has a Sage, their wall will block this arrow. Make sure to shoot the arrow before the wall is put up, or after your team breaks it. You can also wall-bang enemies playing close to the two wooden walls as the arrow reveals them.
Recon Dart for C-Site from C-Lobby (No Bounces and One Charge):
C-Site is a very unique site on Haven since it’s connected to C-Long as well as garage. Many players holding C-Site will often play in corners or on back-site, allowing you the perfect chance to spot them with a recon dart as your team begins to push up. To begin, step onto the ping as seen in the image above. Then turn and face where C is located.
Place your crosshair directly above the tip of the mountain as seen in the red square. Then simply hold until your charge is at one bar, and release when you’re ready to scout out C-Site.
This dart will often catch the enemies by surprise, since it lands in a spot that is somewhat unusual. Any players holding C-Long with an Operator will easily be spotted, preventing and deaths from people on your team.
Recon Dart for C-Site from C-Long (No Bounces and One Charge):
This is another alternative for getting vision onto the C area, but covers more of the back of site than the previous recon dart. To begin, walk into the corner as seen above in C-Long.
Face directly toward C-Site from the corner, and look up slightly. Place your crosshair on the first tip of the rock as seen in the red rectangle. Release the dart with a total of one charge and no bounces.
As seen above, this recon dart covers the entirety of the back of C-Site, spotting any enemies playing there. It’s worth noting that Cypher players will very commonly site on the back site. It’s also important to realize that this arrow can be heard from a distance, so enemies may begin to quickly shoot it before it’s able to get any vision.
Recon Dart for A-Garden from A-Site (No Bounces and One Charge):
Sova also has some incredible recon darts when defending on Haven, potentially revealing the locations of attackers before they push into a site. This arrow allows you and your team to see if there are any enemies outside of A-Lobby and in A-Garden. If enemies are spotted toward A-Site, you and the rest of your team can begin to reposition in case of an A push. To begin, jump up onto the boxes in the corner as pinged in the image above.
Place the pointy tip of the recon bolt against the tip of the highest roof as seen in the red square. Make sure to release the arrow with no bounces and one charge.
The recon dart will land on the top of the grassy stairs in A-Garden, revealing any enemies outside of the A area. This can be an extremely good arrow for narrowing down the potential places the enemy team could be. Use this if you think enemy players might be setting up for an A push, allowing your teammates to better position to defend A-Site.
Recon Dart for C-Long from A-Site (One Bounce and Three Charges):
When playing A-Site as Sova, there is actually an incredible arrow that you can pull off that will get your team vision in C-Long. This is very good if your team calls that it might be a C push, and you happen to be playing A-Site. To begin, walk into the corner next to the two boxes and crouch.
After crouching, find the light gray part of the box and place your crosshair in the middle of it. Release the recon dart with a total of one bounce and three charges.
As seen above, the arrow will land directly in the C-Long area, revealing any enemies preparing to push into site. This is a very good arrow when the enemies know you’re playing A-Site as Sova since they most likely will not expect an arrow from across the map to reveal them.
Recon Dart for Mid from B-Site (One Bounce and One Charge):
This arrow can be used when trying to get information mid when rotating or when defending B-Site. It lands on mid window and will reveal almost all areas in mid for your team. To begin, walk into the corner in the back of B-Site as seen above.
Turn toward mid and place your crosshair at the top right of the red flag as seen above. Make sure to release the recon dart with one bounce and one charge. Keep in mind you could potentially be killed from the bottom of mid when trying to shoot this arrow, so make sure to use to at the right times.
This arrow lands in a very nice spot that allows for vision in many places in mid that other arrows would not. It’s also worth noting that this arrow covers into mid window as well, revealing any enemies that are hiding to the left or right.
Recon Dart for Outside of C-Long from C-Site (No Bounces and One Charge):
This is another very unique arrow that not many players will be aware of, allowing you to catch them off-guard multiple times. It scans outside of C-Long, revealing enemies that are preparing to push into C-Site. To begin, walk into the corner of the default plant spot on C-Site.
This recon dart will land in the top of a tree above C-Lobby, revealing the position of any enemies nearby and underneath. It will most likely take enemies a few seconds to realize where the dart is located.
Recon Dart for A-Garden from C-Site (One Bounce and Three Charges):
This is another recon dart that will reveal enemies on the opposite side of the map. When your teammates call that enemies might potentially be pushing toward A-Site, this is a very good arrow to use if you’re playing from C-Site. To begin, step into the corner as pinged in the image above.
Look up toward the wall and notice the single gray brick. Place your crosshair toward the right side of the gray brick. Release the recon dart with one bounce and three charges.
As seen above, this arrow will reveal the entirety of A-Garden, showing any enemies that are walking toward or away from the A area. Use this with good communication to catch enemies off-guard and potentially get to free picks with a flanking teammate.
Haven is a unique and small map that gives Sova some very impressive potential with his recon darts. When attacking, you can aid your team with arrows for the back of sites when they are beginning to push. This is very powerful since it will give your team the edge when looking for the opening picks of a round. When defending as Sova, you also have some great potential to get vision onto enemies that are trying to push certain areas.
