Overview:
Bind is a good map for Sova’s recon darts, as it is relatively wide open. This allows for potential cross-map arrows and overall quality arrows. Communication with teammates before using a recon dart is a good idea, since they can potentially peak off enemies it scans. Also remember to use this ability often, as it is your signature ability. Below is a list of some of the best recon arrows for attacking and defending on Bind.
Recon Darts for Bind Defense:
B-Long from A-Heaven (No Bounces and Two Charges):
This recon dart can be shot to reveal enemies pushing up B-Long from A-Heaven. If enemies are consistently pushing B-Site and you’re playing A-Site, this is a very good arrow to use for information.
For the lineup, make sure you place the second diamond of Sova’s HUD in the corner as seen in the image above. Release the arrow with no bounces and two charges.
Anyone near B-Fountain or starting to push into B-Long will be spotting. Ask teammates playing in Hookah or B-Garden to let you know if they hear anything near B-Fountain.
B-Hookah from A-Heaven (No Bounces and Two Charges):
This recon dart can be shot from the same position as the last one, but the lineup is instead for B-Hookah. If teammates call that there is a lot of noise coming toward B-Site, then this arrow is another solid option.
Place the bottom right corner of your charge bar as seen in the image above. Release the recon dart with no bounces and two charges.
The recon dart comes in through a hole in the ceiling, ultimately landing in the back of B-Hookah. This dart will almost always get at least one scan off, as enemies have to turn around to shoot it. It’s also especially good to let your teammates know about this arrow, as Hookah can be wall-banged by your team.
Outside Bathrooms/Showers from A-Heaven (No Bounces and One Charge):
This is the final recon dart that will be shot from inside of A-Heaven in this guide. However, you can also pretty easily learn a lineup for A-Short from this position as well.
The lineup for this dart is for outside of Showers, and also scans into Showers up to the ultimate orb. Release the arrow with no bounces and one charge.
Any enemies walking up toward Showers or slightly inside will be scanned and revealed. This is a very good arrow for simply getting information.
A-Site from CT-Spawn for Retake (No Bounces and One Charge):
When playing toward B-Site as Sova, this recon dart can be very good for retaking A-Site. Walk into the corner next to the barrels in the defender’s spawn.
Place the line between the second and third charge bar as seen in the red rectangle above. Release the arrow with no bounces and one charge.
As seen above, this recon dart lands on the corner near A-Site. Enemy attackers that have planted or are preparing to plant will be exposed to this arrow. Remember to call that you’re using a lineup to help teammates already toward A-Site.
B-Fountain from B-Site (One Bounce and Three Charges):
Some form of this arrow is pretty common at the start of a round, as it is very good for scanning almost all of B-Fountain. Walk up to the entrance to B-Garden as seen above.
Place your crosshair on the line where the wall changes from blue to white. Release the recon dart with one bounce and three charges.
Enemies around B-Fountain will be revealed. It’s worth noting that it’s possible to hide behind the other side of the fountain to avoid being scanned. Most players, however, don’t know this.
B-Short from B-Site (No Bounces and One Charge):
This recon dart will reveal enemies pushing toward B-Hookah from B-Short. To begin the lineup, walk into the corner outside of defender’s spawn.
Place the second diamond of Sova’s HUD on the corner of the roof as seen above in the red rectangle. Release this arrow with no bounces and one charge.
Any enemies outside of B-Hookah or toward B-Fountain will be revealed, allowing your team to play accordingly. Players also will likely take a little longer to destroy this recon dart, since it’s on a roof.
B-Site from CT-Spawn for Retake (No Bounces and Three Charges):
This is a very good recon dart for retaking B-Site. It covers most of B-Site, expect for inside of the tube. To begin, walk onto the ping as seen above and face toward B-Site.
Place your crosshair in a somewhat similar spot to that seen in the image above. Release the arrow with no bounces and three charges.
Keep in mind that there are quite a few places on B-Site that enemy players could hide from this recon dart. Use this area to give your team a general idea of where the enemies are.
Recon Darts for Bind Attack:
A-Site from A-Lobby (No Bounces and One Charge):
This is a very good recon dart for all of A-Site as well as the back of A-Site. Walk into the corner in A-Lobby and turn toward A-Site to begin the lineup.
This lineup can be a little tricky to learn, but it easy once you understand where to place HUD. Place the top of second diamond of Sova’s HUD slightly under the leaf sticking down as seen above. If you aren’t getting this arrow to work, try changing how much distance is between your HUD and the leaf. Release the recon dart with no bounces and one charge.
This arrow should land on a solar panel above A-Site, revealing many different areas. Using this lineup as your team is pushing out of A-Short and/or Showers is a great way to more easily take A-Site.
B-Hookah from Market (Two Bounces and One Charge):
This recon dart will land toward the back of Hookah, allowing your team to push in with it. Jump on top of the cart in market to begin this lineup.
Place the first diamond of Sova’s HUD parallel to the first solar panel. Release the dart with two bounces and one charge.
Any enemies playing in the back of Hookah will be revealed, making for an easy kill for your team. It’s also important to realize if no enemies are scanned, they could be hiding in two corners toward the front of Hookah. Let your team know this when firing this arrow so they know to check the two corners.
B-Site from Attacker’s Spawn (No Bounces and Three Charges):
This recon dart is very good for scanning most of B-Site, but can be a little hard to learn as well. To begin, walk to the ping as seen in the image above and line yourself up with the left side of the two wooden boxes.
Place the top left of Sova’s mouse HUD along the metal tubing. It might take a few tries to successfully get, but isn’t too difficult once you understand where your HUD needs to be. Release the recon dart with no bounces and three charges.
This arrow scans the front of B-Site, B-Cubby, B-Elbow, and B-Hookah. Blind spots for this arrow include the back of B-Site, behind the two green boxes, and inside of tube. Make sure to have your team push when using this dart.
A-Site from B-Fountain (One Bounce and Three Charges):
This recon dart can be used to fake an A-Site take from far away, or for your teammate(s) that might playing toward A-Site. To begin, walk into the corner with cacti as seen above.
Turn toward the sign that’s outside of the map, and place your crosshair on the top right part of the sign. Release the arrow with one bounce and three charges.
Enemies playing aggressive A-Short and/or toward U-Haul will be scanned. Use this recon dart wisely and communicate when and how you plan to use it.
Conclusion:
Bind has many incredible recon dart spots for Sova to utilize on both defense and attack. Using these darts creatively and flexibly is a good way to outplay/outsmart your opponents more often. Communication, as always, with your team is necessary to get the most out of your arrows. Remember not to give up, as consistency is key to improving! Good luck with the grind :D.
