Brimstone is currently middle-tier of the three controllers in Valorant. His incendiary/molly ability combined with his ultimate allows Brimstone to deny spike plans and zone areas very nicely. This guide will show Brimstone lineups for the default plant positions on every map. Learning how and when to use these lineups is very important, as you can easily throw rounds away.
Properly Using Brimstone Lineups:
If you are new to Brimstone or Valorant in general, there are a few things you should keep in mind when learning these lineups. The main thing is to make sure your team plants in the default plant spot, or else your lineups won’t work. Another very important thing to remember is the timing of when to shoot each lineup. Since you’re shooting these Brimstone lineups into the air, most of them will take around five or six seconds to land. This is important because these five or six seconds could be the difference between an enemy defusing the spike and dying.
It’s also good to know that the duration of the molly is 8 seconds. There is also no need to peak enemies that want to defuse until you know the full duration of the molly is done. Also, keep in mind that you can combine Brimstone’s ultimate with the molly for extra time. Be cautious, as enemies will often push when you do this.
Brimstone Lineup for Default-Plant A-Site from A-Short:
This lineup can be very good if your team has planted and you happen to be a little late to A-Site. Walk into the corner as seen above and face toward A-Site.
After pulling out your molly, place the arrow at the bottom of the mouse HUD slightly above the shadow as seen above. When ready, shoot the incendiary to prevent enemies from defusing.
Once the molly lands, enemies on or around the spike will quickly take damage and die. Remember to time your molly so that enemies can’t defuse before it lands.
Brimstone Lineup for Default-Plant B-Site from B-Long:
This Brimstone lineup is for the normal plant spot that is located to the left of the crates on B-Site. Walk into the corner near the teleporter in B-Long as seen above.
Line up the bottom left line of your HUD with the line on the teleporter as seen in the image above. Shoot your molly a little earlier than normal for this one, as it will take an extra second to land.
Any enemies nearby the spike will be zoned out for the duration of Brimstone’s incendiary. Don’t peak until you know the molly has disappeared.
Brimstone Lineup for Safe Plant A-Site from A-Main:
This lineup can be shot from A-Main and is for the safe plant spot on A-Site. Walk onto the ping as seen above and line your crosshair up with the crack in the ground.
Look up and place your crosshair in a similar position to that seen above. It’s also worth noting that you can aim a bit higher/lower if your team plants in a slightly different position.
Remember that your team doesn’t know that you have a Brimstone lineup if you don’t tell them before planting. Make sure you are clear about where you want your team to plant before taking a site.
Brimstone Lineup for Default Plant B-Site from B-Alley:
To start the lineup for B-Site, step into the middle of the cubby area as seen in the image above.
After pulling out your molly, place the right side line under the mouse HUD on the corner of the roof. Shoot this molly early to prevent the spike defuser.
Enemies on either side of the box on B-Site will be forced out of their position. The spike is also completely covered when planted in the corner seen above.
Brimstone Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Long:
After you or your team plants on A-Site, you can watch flank and prepare to use this molly lineup. To begin, walk into the corner as seen above.
Place your crosshair to the left and slightly above from the line in the boxes as seen above. Be aware that you aren’t getting flanked lining this incendiary up.
The molly should land right on the default plant position behind the boxes located in the middle of site. Keep in mind that you can tweak the lineup a little if your teammates plant more to the left or right.
Brimstone Lineup for the Front of B-Site from A-Garden:
Playing from window after your team plants on B-Site is generally a good idea, as enemies will often rotate and flank from window. To begin the lineup, walk into the corner next to the double boxes as seen above.
Place the arrow below Brimstone’s mouse HUD on the corner of the roof as seen in the image above. Shoot the molly when enemies are nearing the spike.
It’s worth noting that the radius of this molly will also cover the left corner if your team plants there. You can also tweak this Brimstone lineup again if you want the molly to hit the right corner.
Brimstone Lineup for Default Plant on C-Site from C-Long:
This Brimstone lineup can be lined up from under the first brown rectangle on the ball as seen above. Turn and face toward C-Site to prepare for the molly.
This lineup is slightly different, as you will have to line this one up before pulling your incendiary grenade out. Place the bottom dot of Brimstone’s smoke icon right above the rock as seen in the image above. Then pull your molly out and fire when ready.
The entire front side of the box in the middle of C-Site will be completely covered by your molly. Be careful, as enemies will sometimes push if they know you plan on using molly lineups.
Brimstone Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from Catwalk:
This lineup is very good, as your team will almost always plant right around generator on A-Site. To begin, walk into the corner as seen in the image above and face up and toward A-Site.
Place the line under the mouse HUD between and slightly under the two spikes in the sky as seen above. Fire the incendiary when ready to stop the spike defuser.
As long as your team doesn’t plant too far back, this molly will almost always cover the location of the spike. Be cautious of enemies coming from Catwalk and Tree when lining this molly up.
Brimstone Lineup for Front B-Site from Pizza:
This molly is mainly for the front side of B-Site, but also slightly covers the back of B-Site. This means that it is extra important for you to communicate with your team before they plant. Walk into the corner of Pizza in mid to begin.
Place your crosshair right in the middle of the fourth roof shingle, also around where the sky changes from blue to cloud. Keep in mind how far left or right you place your crosshair is determined by how far left or right you plant on B-Site.
Any enemies around the box will begin to take damage. Keep in mind that this molly is mainly for the back of site, so be aware when planting.
Brimstone Lineup for Default Plant on A-Site from A-Main:
For A-Site on Icebox, players also almost always plant in the same position that will be covered by this molly. Line yourself up with the box and the cross pinged in the floor above to begin.
Place your crosshair right in the corner of the window as seen in the red rectangle above. Be cautious of flanking enemies and pushing enemies when setting up for this molly.
All of the default area will be covered, completely forcing enemies off of the spike. Try to wait until most of your teammates are dead on-site to use this lineup.
Brimstone Lineup for Inside of B-Crate from B-Cubby:
When defending a planted spike on B-Site, you will often want to play from B-Main. To begin this Brimstone lineup, walk into the corner of the cubby as seen in the image above.
Place your crosshair in-line with the second yellow bar from the top and to the right of the line in the gray pole. Use the image above for guidance.
Enemies trying to hide inside of the crate and defuse will be forced out and likely killed as a result. Remember to let your team know before shooting this incendiary.
Brimstone lineups are very powerful and can be used on each and every map to win your team a few extra rounds and potentially even the game. Communication and timing are both very important when preparing to use this ability. Also making sure that you or your team plants for the proper spot is important, as the radius of the molly will otherwise not reach the spike. Master these lineups for each map and begin climbing the ladder in competitive Valorant!
